We are the third generation to raise livestock and nurture gardens here on the farm. Our family began subsistence farming here in 1948.
While not the same level of subsistence farming done by the first generation, we are learning how rewarding becoming more self-sufficient truly is! Our garden grows year over year as we experiment and learn what works well and what doesn’t. Our orchard is flourishing and we added a flock of laying chickens this fall.
